Welcome to Precalculus with Trig for AB!

Precalculus with Trigonometry for AB is a one-year preparatory course for AP Calculus AB. Basic course content is comprised of the algebra of real numbers, complex numbers and polynomials; exponential, polynomial and logarithmic functions; circular functions and trigonometry.

Course Design

This course is full of opportunities for you to grow as a learner and mathematician!

Some important things to note:

Each Unit has a formative only module (lesson content, assignments and quizzes) and a summative & comprehensive only module.
The formative only modules have one deadline. All items should be completed by that deadline. I will recommend pacing guidelines, however it is ultimately up to you if you want to complete everything early, on schedule, or last minute.
- The summative & comprehensive only modules also have a set deadline. You will be able to access the assessments for at least 4 days.

All deadlines will fall on a Monday* at 11:59 pm EST. The only exception is when Monday is a student holiday. In these instances, the deadline moves back to the next school day.
- For example, the Module 1 Summative/Comprehensive Assessment is due on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 11:59pm because 10/12 is a student holiday.

About Me

Ms. Crawford Thumbs Up My name is Peyton Crawford (she/her) and I am originally from East Tennessee. I studied at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where I earned my B.S. in Mathematics and met my fiancé who was in a graduate program (also for math). We moved to Woodbridge January 2019 with our two dogs. We are getting married in October 2020 and will be moving to our new home in Fredericksburg soon after. Get ready to call me Mrs. Madewell!

Last year was my first year teaching at Gar-Field and I had a blast! This year I am looking forward to connecting with everyone through our struggles and challenges. Nothing is normal for anyone right now and I like to see this as an opportunity for us to focus on growing as a community that cares about each other regardless of location. My goal for this year is to be encouraging, understanding and purposeful in my teaching and everyday life.
