I can learn about parts of a story.

We have learned a lot about the way books work and now we are ready to look deeper into books to learn about the parts of a story.

We are going to start by looking closer at the pictures and words to help us know WHERE the story is happening.

Stop and look around you, notice WHERE you are. Are you in your bedroom, are you in your kitchen, or maybe at grandma’s house?

"I am in my office."

The stories we read always take place somewhere, this is called the Setting.
